Scripture teaches that there will be a great “falling away” of the faith by Christian believers in the last days (2 Thess. 2:1-11). This apostasy is lead by “false apostles” who call themselves Christians, but they teach “another Jesus” and “another gospel” under the influence of “another spirit” (2 Cor. 11:1-15). Jesus calls them “false prophets” who come as “wolves” in sheep’s clothing, but that we would know them by their unfruitful disobedience to God’s Commandments (Matt. 7:15-27).
